Restoration of the 100 year old church
Due to funding, the design, planning and restoration was phased and spanned a period of nine years and included eight sets of bid documents. All intricate details of the interior were restored to replicate the original detailing of the church. This process required repainting, new flooring, new lighting, and extensive gold leaf restoration of the statuaries and Stations of the Cross, cornice, frieze and column capitals.
Exterior renovation required restoring the masonry, re-roofing, adding a handicap ramp, and adding new lighting to delineate the approach to the church.
