GraceHebert helps break ground on IDEA Public School's 2nd Baton Rouge Location

GraceHebert is excited to be a part of IDEA's second school in Baton Rouge off of Innovation Drive.

IDEA Public Schools is an award-winning, tuition-free, public charter school network serving the Baton Rouge community.This new 73,000 sf school will accommodate grades K-8, and will serve over 750 students over the next couple years. This facility includes natural daylight into the classrooms with a full size gymnasium and outdoor soccer field. It will be open for the 2018 school year.

On Monday, January 22, 2018, IDEA Public Schools joined local Baton Rouge community leaders and supporters in celebrating the groundbreaking of IDEA Innovation, one of two IDEA campuses opening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana this fall!

IDEA Southern Louisiana Executive Director Kenneth Campbell initiated construction on the second IDEA campus in Baton Rouge. “We are thrilled to continue our expansion to the Baton Rouge community,” said Kenneth Campbell, executive director of IDEA Southern Louisiana. “IDEA believes that there are no limitations on a child’s ability to succeed in college and life, and we can’t wait to see what IDEA Innovation scholars will achieve.”

Kenneth Campbell, Warren Drake, superintendent of East Baton Rouge Schools, and Preston Castille, board chair of New Schools for Baton Rouge, were in attendance for this event.

Attention parents—IDEA Innovation is accepting applications for our annual student applicant lottery on January 27. Please submit your child’s application by January 26 at midnight. IDEA Innovation will open in August 2018 to serve nearly 500 kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 6th grade students in its inaugural year.
